   do we need to uninstall the normale free Elementor first ?
   I just bought Elementor Pro 199 US$ version with my other username hartiberlin
   and now my username is located in the ZIP area code area in the profile section of my Elementor account at my. elementor com / profile/
   (I edited the link to not contain dots, so Youtube does not censor it right away…)

3. This is outrageous. I download this Elementor-pro 5 times and each time, there isn’t any freaking zip file. Where is the zip file? I ordered the 3 license package and I need to add the pro to a new site. BUT I can’t. I can’t find the zip file. The new site already have Elementor. Each time I go into the plugin and add new plugin in, I search my computer and there isn’t any freaking .zip file. Send me the zip file.

   1. How did you solve this? I also do not have a zip file

   2. If you’re on a Mac it auto unzips. You’ll need to right click and select compress. After that it’ll create a ZIP file. Hope this helps!

   3. f you download Elementor (free or Pro) using Safari browser for Mac, you might encounter the following issue:

      Safari automatically opens ZIP files and therefore, you cannot download Elementor as a ZIP folder.

      In order to fix this, go to your Safari Preferences and under General, uncheck ‘Open “safe” files after downloading’.

4. Just purchased. Tried to upload. WordPress gives me the message “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

   1. It is not a theme it is a plugin

5. I purchased the Pro version after installing the free version. Says that the Pro version is actually an extension of the free version and it won’t work unless I already have the free version installed. So how the hell do you install the extension into the free version? If I follow the instructions in this video and in the support section, I am supposed to upload this via the Add New Plugin area of my WP dashboard. But that doesn’t work because Elementor is already installed! Doesn’t make any sense!!!

   1. Sorry for your experience. It’s simple – go to my.elementor.com and download the zip files for Elementor Pro. Then, upload it through Plugins > Add new. Elementor and Elementor Pro are 2 plugins that need to be installed and activated. If you still have issues with this please contact our support

   2. @Elementor You should make this more clear on your website and videos. It fails to mention that the free Elementor must be installed first before the Pro plugin. Not sure why the instructions omit this. It’s causing a lot of confusion. I believe it doesn’t even mention this in your video above. You also don’t say whether or not users should delete the original free plugin after the pro plugin is installed. Is it really that hard to offer answers to obvious questions?

6. I am assuming that this plugin can be used on a local development environment but doesn’t count toward an actual install? In other words, does the license key only count as an install when it is on a live site?

10. I am having a horrible time. I wanted to re-do my sons site, hasn’t been touched in 3 years. I uninstalled the old theme everything. I put in elementor with ocean wp, or wp ocean, but anyway, it will not let me put my license in anywhere, I have tried for over an hour now, uninstalled it even and re-tried, no place to put in my license to make it pro?

    1. Experiencing exactly the same thing. It only says become pro where it links to the elementor website. When I upload the ZIP it says pad already exists. There is nowhere to put my license key.

    2. @wymangentry Hey Wyman, it’s been a while ago but I believe it had something to do removing my previous elementor and then reuploading the ZIP.

11. Next month I want to start the job of making web sites through wordpress.
    I’ve never worked through wordpress(I’m coding trought sublime etc.) and I want to start working through the wordpress/elementor(it’s so much easier) and buy an unlimited version.
    So, every time I buy a new domain, I get a new acces form to my website(domain name, email, password for my acces page etc), right? And every time I do the same as in this video, every time I have to add that plugin there and copy that licence to the new dashboard(website)?

15. So now that I have the pro version do I delete the free version? My Elementor Pro is evident on my plugins but on my dashboard only the free version of Elementor is evident. I’m thinking that I have to remove the free version but I don’t want to screw up any of my websites that have been created on the free version. That’s another question. Will the change from free to pro affect any of my sites?

    1. You should not delete the free version, Elementor Pro is an extension of Elementor. After you upgrade to Pro, you continue just where you left off, without any interruptions.

    1. if you buy the $199 Elementor, you can use it for an unlimited number of sites

    1. Yes, you can activate your license key on your localhost, and when you wish to transfer your website to a different domain, you can easily change the domain name inside your Elementor account.

    I activated the license on your site.
    Install the zip file
    and gives me this error:

    Installation of the failed plugin.
    I can not activate it.

    1. You should delete the old elementor-pro folder using FTP and then reinstall it, it should work.

26. You guys are really bad at providing basic info in your videos and on your website. As you can tell by the countless questions and confusion below. For example, should users delete the free plugin after installing the pro version…. or what to do if an error appears…. or whether the free version needs to be installed prior to installing the pro version. Come on guys, it’s really not that hard.

    1. You should not delete the Free plugin. Elementor Pro is an addon to the Free version. 33. For all the people that got their download unzipped, you can zip it by selecting the document (so everything within) and compress the selection < with mac. After doing that, it works!

    thanks for the qucik tutorial, it helped a lot!
    With my package I can use Elementor pro on three websites. Is it possible to change those 3 websites I use it on.

    Lets say I use it on website A,B and C, but after a year website B is closed down and a new website, website C is added. Can I use the plugin on website C when it is deactivated on Website B?
